(Poughkeepsie, NY) – Michael Kaminski, President and CEO of Hudson Valley Hospice announced that Teresa Holstein, RN, BSN, CHPN, has joined the organization as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Kaminski stated that “ I am extremely pleased that Teresa has joined Hudson Valley Hospice. She has extensive hospice experience, at both the clinical and management levels, which will ensure that our programs will be able to serve an increasing number of patients who deserve the benefits of our hospice care services.”
With over a decade of healthcare and hospice experience, her career spans community, university, hospital system based programs with an average daily census of 400 to 530 patients. Holstein recently served as the Hospice Director of BJC Hospice in St. Louis, Missouri, where she focused on revamping the clinical education, orientation and quality programs, in addition to the hospital liaison team and processes. Prior to that she served as the Hospice Director at Evergreen-Health in Kirkland, Washington, where she focused on the admissions, education, and regulatory compliance programs. Teresa graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Communication and summa cum laude with a BS in Nursing, both from Cleveland State University, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She has served on several national and state hospice committees, including her current terms on two National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization committees.
