WE HONOR VETERANS
Hudson Valley Hospice is a Level 5 hospice provider, the highest level achievable in the We Honor Veterans Program, a collaboration of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The We Honor Veterans program invites hospice providers across the country, state hospice organizations, Hospice-Veteran Partnerships and VA facilities to join a pioneering program focused on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment of the Veteran’s service to America.
It is an honor and a privilege to care for our Veterans who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Achieving Level 5 underscores our commitment and dedication to our Veterans, their loved ones and our community. By recognizing their unique needs, both on program and in the community, we work to raise awareness, increase access, and most importantly, ensure that they and their loved ones receive the best possible care and support during their time with us.
To all Veterans everywhere, and especially those we serve in Dutchess and Ulster Counties, please accept our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for your service, your sacrifice and our freedom. We are here for you and your loved ones, please call us at 845-485-2273 if you or anyone in your community has a question or is in need of help.
As a proud Level 5 partner, Hudson Valley Hospice is prepared to:
- Recognize the unique needs of our Veterans.
- Provide quality care to our Veterans and support to their loved ones.
- Raise awareness and increase access to hospice and palliative care for Veterans in our community.
- Maintain a strong relationship with our local VA and other Veteran organizations to better support our patients and families.
