PATIENT & CAREGIVER SUPPORT
Coping with a significant end-of-life illness
Facing a serious illness can feel overwhelming and isolating—for both patients and caregivers. At Hudson Valley Hospice, we are here to walk alongside you with expert care and compassionate support, helping you find comfort, dignity and peace during one of life’s most challenging journeys.
HELP FOR WHAT TO EXPECT AND HOW TO PREPARE
The sections below are designed to guide both patients and caregivers. You’ll find information about the support available to you, what you can expect and helpful resources to ease the way forward. Whether you are navigating this experience for yourself or a loved one, you are not alone.
Two of our most important resources are the “Taking Care of Loved Ones” booklet, and our “When the Time Comes” booklet. Each contains vital information to help you understand what to expect during this time, including how to recognize and help manage possible symptoms. Understanding and preparation are powerful tools to support your emotional health and wellbeing.
