Children and Caregivers Grief and Loss Workshop

In a collaboration between the Bereavement Center and Music Therapy Department, Hudson Valley Hospice is offering a grief workshop to children and their caregivers.

This 2-session workshop is open to all children ages 6-12 who have suffered the loss of a loved one. Using music, art and conversation, our facilitators will:

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for kids to process their emotions
• Teach healthy coping mechanisms
• Demonstrate ways to honor the memory of a loved one

Caregivers will simultaneously learn about what to expect from a child experiencing a significant loss and how to support their child(ren) in navigating effectively.

The workshop will be held October 7th and October 14th from 5:30-7PM at the Vassar Environmental Barns in Poughkeepsie. Pizza and drinks will be provided before each session.
