You can play an important and rewarding role in the care provided by Hudson Valley Hospice, by joining the incredibly generous team of Hudson Valley Hospice Volunteers.
Patient Care Volunteers are specially trained to provide comfort, support and companionship to patients and their families. Veteran Volunteers are also needed to work with our Veteran patients. Training takes place over five sessions, a total of 20 hours, in our Poughkeepsie office. The next Patient Care Volunteer training is being planned for September 2020. Details will follow in the coming months.
Administrative Volunteers provide vital support in the Poughkeepsie and Kingston offices, at community education and fundraising events and work as couriers, delivering needed supplies to home-bound patients. They also receive individualized training and can start at any time.
